Scoring build and devlog


Due to being busy IRL and lack of healthy lifestyle I couldn't get a lot of progress.

I've shared progress in MGGJ Discord, so I'll share thoughts from there to show my devlog.

14.10.24. I didn't end up implementing keyframes in the scoring build.
15.10.24. At some point I wanted to send another game instead. Then I continued to work on ground enemies in Fairystep instead.
15-17.10.24. I worked on concept arts.
20-23.10.24. Resumed drawing the boss.
24.10.24. Added preliminary scoring system based on killing enemy at a height, the higher the more score.
27.10.24. I started (lazily) practicing digital art.
31.10.24-1.11.24. Worked on my own art of Anna.
Then I took a long break.
23.11.24. Did a bunch of things, implemented more proper scoring system based on bells.
24.11.24. Tweaked scoring and started to work on custom explosion sprite
26.11.24. Tweaked jumping fairy sprite.
28.11.24. I lost motivation working on Fairystep in the end and started drawing another game.
That's how it goes. I wish I could do gamedev better. Didn't upload pics due to a bug.
